Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Born on November 11, 1966. Her feature film debut was a small part on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody began modelling after being approached by an experienced photographer. The result was a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was adamantly against the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity in her modelling career. When she came to the director's attention in a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was named as one the top twelve promising young actors in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old when she took on the role as a Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured an unimportant role in the form of IRA Siobhan. Doody played an unseen role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias during his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she starred as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was Flannery her agent and partner for Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama on RTE. The Asphyx was the 2011 version of her film. The year 2011 saw her debut on the second season in the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She also was on the show as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way.
