Iliza Shlesinger
Iliza Vie Schlesinger was born February 22, 1983. She is an American actor and comedian. She won the show on NBC's Last Comic Standing 2008 and has since hosted the dating show syndicated by TBS Excused and the TBS show Separation Anxiety.
In 2017 Shlesinger was the host of her own talk show at night called Truth and Iliza on Freeform. She has six Netflix comedy specials. In April of 2020, Netflix premiered her sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show.
Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born in New York City to a Jewish family. She was raised to Dallas, Texas by her parents, who relocated to Dallas when she was a baby. She attended Addison's Greenhill School, Texas. In there, she learned Spanish and was a member of the school's improv group.
Shlesinger performed with ComedySportz Dallas, and studied at the University of Kansas for her freshman year. She also participated in Semester at Sea. After that, she transferred to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. Here she majored film. There she worked on her editing and writing abilities and was a part of Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a comedy group that plays on campus.

Shlesinger completed her college degree and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand up comedy. She was one of the most well-known members of the Whiteboy Comedy group of standup comedians in Los Angeles, which brought her to the stage of The Improv in Hollywood.
